The 2019 Pinot Noir Perli Vineyard opens with overt matchstick aromas that take time to disperse and reveal blackberries, tobacco leaves, lavender and conifer. The medium-bodied palate is bright and silky with powerful, broody fruit and a long, layered finish. Although it takes plenty of time to really unwind with air, it's worth it; so, offer it 3-5 years in bottle.

The 2019 Pinot Noir Perli Vineyard is aromatic of fresh pine, turned forest soil, and cherry lozenge. The palate is in line with the nose, with the fruit carrying all the way through the finish. A fleshy and ripe wine with candied red plum and baking spice, it should be drunk over the next 10 years.
The 2019 Pinot Noir Perli Vineyard is both nervy and reduced, which unfortunately masks the fruit. The Perli comes across as a bit severe in this range.
