Tasting notes
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard is soft, silky and very easy to drink. This is now mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, with very little Petit Verdot, but what stands out are the soft tannins and open-knit contours. Dark toned fruit, dried herbs, new leather, licorice and spice linger on the gentle finish.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard is beautiful, and it might be one of the finest wines I've tasted from this often overlooked site in St. Helena. Darker cherries, Griotte cherries, Asian spices, violets, and baking chocolate notes all give way to a full-bodied, deep, layered, concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon that has beautiful tannins as well as length. It's a powerful, layered, textured wine to enjoy over the coming 20 years.
Aromas of black currant and pencil shavings with some bark. Full-bodied with black berries, nutmeg, meat and earth. Full-bodied with chewy tannins. Juicy fruit but a little rustic at the end. Needs time to soften. Best after 2026.
