Medium ruby-purple, the 2019 Pinot Noir Lewis MacGregor Estate Vineyard has pure, layered scents of raspberry preserves, licorice, laurel leaves, pipe tobacco and pepper, with tinges of mushroom and bergamot coming through as it airs in the glass. The medium-bodied palate is powerful and intense, with a grainy, fresh frame and latent finish that suggests this will have more to give after another 2-3 years in bottle. (EB)

A restrained if extremely pretty nose only grudgingly reveals its aromas of overtly spicy red and dark raspberry, violet and lilac. The delicious and attractively tension-filled flavors are not as vibrant as those of the Foss though the mid-palate is seductively enveloping while exhibiting solid power on the robust and borderline rustic finale. This isn't refined but I very much like the frank character plus it should age effortlessly. *Outstanding*

A floral nose of roses and violets, accented by notes of baking spice and red cherries. Full-bodied with sandy, easy-going tannins, wrapped by ripe raspberry, black-cherry and clove flavors. Lovely hints of nutmeg and allspice. Fresh acidity. Drink or hold.

A lovely dark-fruited nose with plums, black cherries, thyme and earth. Full-bodied with sandy tannins and wet-stone mineral character. Juicy. Paprika and ground cloves accent the fruit. Good weight and texture.
