Tasting notes
76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petit Verdot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot. Dark crimson. Pretty heady, concentrated nose after all the Sonoma wines I’ve been tasting! Sweet and slightly charred on the end. I know Continuum is meant to be fresher than most Napa Valley wines but I’m not sure the evidence is in this wine! (JR)

The 2019 Novicium comes across as slightly darker-fruited than the impeccably balanced 2018, with a greater emphasis on black cherries and cassis and less on red fruit and delicate herbal nuances. Full-bodied and velvety in feel, it's a bigger, richer expression of this mountain vineyard, yet one that is also a touch warm and slightly coarse on the finish.
