Herbily scented with a hint of spring flowers and oil. Massive concentration. Really exciting already yet with lots more still to give. Anyone who bought this should be very pleased with themselves. One of the most difficult wines to spit of the entire 2006 tasting. Very long. (JR)

Quite shy at first – the butter and dairy flavours come first, then crisp stone fruit and crab apple. On the palate, lengthy and a mine of mineral complexity, but a very immature fruit character and only the merest hint of development. There is a slight burn on the finish too, which ever so slightly derails the otherwise excellent balance. (RH)

(bottled one week prior to my visit) Full medium yellow. Ripe yellow peach on the subdued nose. Fat and rich but quite dry, with a strong spice character currently dominating the wine's fruit. Powerful but a bit lacking in precision. Finishes with a suggestion of warmth. This will probably be best for relatively early drinking.
