Tasting notes
Dark purple. Expressive, spice-accented aromas of blackcurrant, cherry compote, pipe tobacco and candied rose. Deeply concentrated red and dark berry flavors show surprising vivacity thanks to juicy acidity and a spicy nuance. Sweet and penetrating on the finish, which has impressive length and a gentle tannic grip.

Deep garnet in color with a hint of purple, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon presents pronounced notes of creme de cassis, stewed plums and black cherry compote over hints of Indian spices, sandalwood, vanilla and toast. Full bodied with plenty of mouth-filling juicy berry flavors, it has a solid structure of very crisp acidity and medium to firm, finely grained tannins. The finish is long with lingering cedar and baking spice notes. Approachable now, it should remain good to 2019+. Importer: Epicurean Wines, Seattle, WA; tel. (206) 923-1376
