Tasting notes
(these vines are older than those in the adjacent River Rock vineyard): Bright red-ruby. Less expressive on the nose than the Roma bottling, conveying a smoky, musky redcurrant aroma. Fat, sweet and savory in the mouth, with the smoky element joined by spices and rose petal. No easy sweetness here but this is wonderfully fine-grained and broad--and not nearly as tight as the Roma (Leighton described this wine as "more boisterous.")

A new Walla Walla release, the 2014 Ovide Jack's Vineyard is a gorgeous black fruit, black olive, dried herbs and chocolate layered beauty that has ultra-fine tannin, a seamless profile and a great finish. It has more elegance and purity than the Roma release, and is a beauty!
