Score 94/100 · Drink 2021-2040, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Mar 2021
The 2017 Sancerre Les Denisottes opens fascinatingly pure and tensioned and full of crushed stones, lemon juice and rind as well as the deep, ripe and concentrated fruit of 40- to 50+-year-old vines on terres blanches soils. I highly recommend enjoying this from a Burgundy glass. The wine is full-bodied, intense and quite rich yet also fine, fresh, lively and enormously deep, which comes out in a spectacularly long, complex and stimulating elegant and salty finish that delivers very fine tannins onto your palate. A fabulous wine, châpeau! Tasted in January 2021.
