Tasting notes
The 2013 Barbaresco Coparossa brings together the aromatic top notes of Fausoni and depth of Pajoré. Deep and beautifully layered in the glass, but also quite understated, the 2013 speaks to restrained and grace above all else. All the elements seem to come together effortlessly. Sadly, this is the last vintage of the Coparossa, as the Rocca family lost their lease on the parcel in Pajoré.

The 2013 Barbaresco Coparossa delivers a modern and upfront style with dark fruit, spice, cola and balsam herb intensity. The oak presence is more evident in this wine and still needs time to integrate. Plum, blackberry, allspice, cinnamon and cured tobacco emerge from the glass. Coparossa is velvety and rich in texture.
The 2013 Barbaresco Coparossa is another striking wine, but like all of these 2013s, it is an infant. Sweet red cherry, plum, mint, spice and wild flowers are some of the notes that open up in this exciting, beguiling Barbaresco. Silky, energetic and beautifully layered in the glass, the Coparossa is a real winner. This is the last vintage for the Coparossa, as the Roccas lost their lease in Pajorè and did not want to make the wine, historically a blend of fruit from Currà and Pajorè, with different sources.
