Tasting notes
This stunning effort is showing even better than it did when I reviewed it in August, 2010. Complexity, elegance, purity and stunning balance characterize this 2007. Its dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by a sweet perfume of pomegranate, plum, blueberry, forest floor, black cherries and black currants. Deep, medium to full-bodied, extremely well-focused and expressive, this terrific Pinot Noir is capable of lasting another 10-12 years.

Vivid red. Highly expressive, pure nose of cherry, black raspberry, rose, licorice and smoky herbs. Then big and broad but a bit clenched, with weighty flavors of cassis and blackberry. A serious, slightly tannic wine right now, with strong finishing grip and a fine dusting of tannins. This demands patience.
