Tasting notes
La Morra. Medium concentrated with bright rim. Leathery and almost farmyardy, covering up the fruit. There is concentration on the palate but fruit seems muted. (WS)

The 2007 Barolo Brunate is a gorgeous, refined wine. An expressive, open bouquet melds into dark, sensual fruit. The Brunate possesses gorgeous delineation, wonderful inner perfume and polished tannins that frame the majestic finish. In this vintage the French oak is also exceptionally well-balanced. The freshness, vibrancy and overall sense of harmony elevate the Brunate into the top tier of 2007 Baroli. This beautiful, aristocratic Barolo is the finest young wine I have tasted from Ceretto in a long time.

This beautiful, aristocratic Barolo is the finest young wine I have tasted from Ceretto in a long time. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2032. This is a truly impressive set of 2007 Baroli from Ceretto. I can’t remember the last time I tasted young wines here with such lovely balance. The French oak seems far better measured than was the case just a few short years ago.
