2013 Trousseau North Coast

The 2013 Trousseau is exotic and intriguing throughout. Sage, tobacco, dried cherries, game, mint and worn-in leather open up nicely in the glass. The 100% whole clusters are quite evident. I am not sure how varietal the 2013 is, or if winemaking decisions, particularly with regards to stem inclusion, are the dominant characteristics, but there is no doubt the wine is beautiful. The 2013 is ethereal, lifted throughout. All the elements are in the right place.
