Tasting notes
The 2007 Chardonnay Charles Heintz Vineyard is a bit fresher than the Mays Canyon, but it is also fully mature and offers less overall depth and overall complexity.

Bright yellow. Complex aromas of lemon drop, lime, flower blossom and green tropical fruits. Juicy, fresh and energetic, offering a captivating combination of aromatic lemon and lime oil elements, firm mineral spine and lovely acidity. Ted Lemon actually showed me his chardonnays after his pinots, and this wine easily was able to stand up to the reds. Outstanding and complete for this bottling, and further evidence that 2007 was a superb vintage for Sonoma Coast chardonnay.
