Tasting notes
Pale garnet. Lifted, rose-perfumed, delicate aromatics, with some vanilla-cream and just a touch of oxidation. Fresh and elegant palate, with crisp acidity, vanilla-cream and drying strawberry. Supple, fairly firm, fine tannins. Some creaminess to the finish. Long and elegant. Just a question about that oxidative tone. (TJ)

From Castiglione Falletto, the 2012 Barolo Villero is a fine and elegant wine that reflects the delicate and floral nature of the loose and white soils that characterize the Villero cru. At 22 hectares, this vineyard is farmed by many different producers, and 11 unique labels carry the Villero designation in the Barolo appellation. More than power, this wine offers elegance and finesse with light mineral touches that are followed by rose hip and dried lavender.
