Tasting notes
The 2018 Pinot Noir Occidental Ridge Vineyard is lovely this vintage, with spice, earth and floral nuances gently unfolding over a core of black and red berry fruit and tarry touches. The palate bursts with flavor layers animated by juicy acidity, tensile and detailed with a long, delicate finish.

This great vineyard just outside the town of Occidental has a produced a rich, full-bodied 2018 Pinot Noir Occidental Ridge Vineyard. One of the deeper colored in the lineup, it offers a fruit-driven bouquet of black raspberries, black cherries, spice box, loamy earth, and underbrush. With plenty of structure, medium to full body, and a great finish, I'd give bottles 2-3 years to develop more complexity, but it should be long-lived.
The 2018 Pinot Noir Occidental Ridge Vineyard is a star among stars in this lineup. Rich, sumptuous and wonderfully deep, the 2018 exudes pedigree from the very first taste. Inky dark cherry, plum, mint, spice and licorice all meld together in a beautifully resonant, textured Pinot built on depth. The 2018 is flat-out stunning, but it will be even better in another few years' time.
