Score 88-91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2004
(13.2% natural alcohol, from vines harvested on October 4) Deep red. Black cherry and licorice on the ripe nose. At once solidly structured and lively, with fat, sweet, mouthfilling flavors and a youthfully medicinal element. Finishes sweet and long, with solid tannins that avoid dryness. Excellent for village wine.
