105-year-old vines. Very opulent, dense, complex nose. Sweet and rich but with a great undertow of structure and density. Not at all flashy. Amazing stuff that, funnily enough, recalls the great really old vine wines of Australia – not that I expect Laurent P to be thrilled by the comparison. Great life, confidence and energy. Such persistence! (JR)
