The 2019 Chardonnay X Omni Vineyard has savory tones of dried mushrooms, almonds and matchstick to begin before opening to touches of floral perfume. The light-bodied palate is linear and tangy with expansive, gently honeyed fruit that glides into a long finish. It feels coiled and will benefit from more bottle time.

LIVE certified. Picked 1 and 7 October. Incredibly mineral, lemon, lime, chalk, white flowers and sawdust. A decent amount of reduction (decant this). The palate is precise and energetic with scintillating high acidity and a long finish that develops a bit of toastiness. Feels rather weightless when drinking but leaves quite the impression on the palate. This can compete with the best Chardonnays in the world. I thoroughly believe it will only improve with another decade in bottle. (SCJ)
