Score 90/100 · Drink 2003-2008, Robert Parker, Dec 2003
There are 2,555 cases of the 2001 Pinot Noir Estate. Its deep ruby color is followed by a beautiful nose of smoked candied cherry fruit interwoven with notions of pomegranate, strawberries, and plums. Subtle oak is present, but the sweet, delicious, fragrant style is sure to seduce all tasters, even the hard core Burgundian terroirists. Enjoy it over the next 4-5 years. Tel. Medium red. Slightly diffuse aromas of red fruits and herbs. Supple, sweet and easygoing, with ripe, fruit-driven flavors of cherry, strawberry and plum. At its best today on the finish, which is juicy, bright and dry, with a mineral note.
