Tasting notes
Matured in around 40% new French oak for 12 months, the 2020 Chardonnay Mon Plaisir has arresting aromas of yellow peach, honeycomb, allspice and flint with exotic touches of guava and jasmine. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and expansive with highly concentrated, spicy fruit, seamless acidity and a long finish loaded with mouth-coating flavors.

Drink this plush, luxurious and inviting Chardonnay over the next 5-7 years. 1,260 cases were made.
Plenty of flint, dried-lemon and sliced-apple aromas and flavors with some crushed stone and pine needle. Medium- to full-bodied. Creamy and chewy palate, but always reserved and tight. Punchy at the end, with phenolics and acidity. Try after 2024.
The 2020 Chardonnay Mon Plaisir has aromas of crushed rock, savory chive, and ripe pear. It offers a beautifully rich texture with a stony mineral feel and layers of complexity that should continue unfold over the next 10 or more years. I look forward to seeing it mature.
