Score 88-91/100 · Drink 2000-2015, Robert Parker, Apr 1995
Pahlmeyer's 1993 has an unbelievable resemblance to a fine vintage of Bordeaux's renowned Chateau Leoville Las-Cases. The saturated dark ruby/purple color is followed by a wonderfully pure, vivid nose of blackcurrants, minerals, and spicy, high quality oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich and elegant, this well-endowed, beautifully concentrated, graceful Cabernet Sauvignon will need 5-7 years of cellaring; it will keep for 20+ years. This fascinating wine could easily be confused with a top class Medoc if tasted blind. Tel. (707) 255-2321
