The 2015 Fortification is cut from the same cloth as the 2014 in that it has everything you could want from a fortified wine and already has some accessibility and loads of charm. Incredible dark fruits (currants, plums), candied black olives, tobacco, chocolate, and sandalwood notes all define the aromatics, and this full-bodied, unctuous, massive, Port-like beauty has perfectly integrated sweetness, ripe tannins, a flawless mouthfeel, and a great, great finish. It's another massive yet ethereal fortified wine from this winemaker that needs to be tasted to be believed.
