Tasting notes
Realm's 2011 The Tempest is fully mature. Dried out fruit, crushed flowers, sweet spice and earthy notes open up, but ultimately, the 2011 is faded and past peak. Any remaining bottles need to be finished.

Realm's 2011 The Tempest is gorgeous. Bright red fruit, sweet spices, wild flowers and mint are all very much alive in this pointed, articulate Merlot-based red. This is one of the more feminine, gracious wines in the range. Raspberries, rose petals and cinnamon linger on a finish underpinned with bright, saline nuances. In 2011, Tempest is pure class. What a gorgeous, delicious wine this is. The Realm shows just how favored Merlot was in 2011. The blend is 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon 5% Cabernet Franc.
The dark ruby-colored 2011 Tempest is a fresh, charming, lighter-weight wine offering sweet berry fruit intermixed with hints of oak and damp earth. Drink it over the next 5-6 years. Tel. (707) 967-0227
