Tasting notes
Still in barrel, the 2020 Chardonnay Ellen Lane Estate has a finely detailed perfume of apricot, spring honey, citrus blossom, pastry and spice, and the medium-bodied palate is silky, seamless and long. Made since 1996, this 2020 will be the last vintage of Ellen Lane Estate from Paul Hobbs after the vineyard was recently purchased by new owners.

An elegant version, showing a sense of restraint to the candied ginger, lemon blossom and mineral accents that mingle with Meyer lemon, melon and Fuji apple flavors on a sleek frame. Drink now through 2037. 268 cases made.
The 2020 Chardonnay Ellen Lane Estate is bright and airy, with lovely aromatic presence to match its gracious personality. Orchard fruit, white flowers, mint and orange peel are all nicely lifted. This is the last vintage for the Ellen Lane at Paul Hobbs.
A rather pretty nose of fresh lavender, grapefruit and thyme. Medium-bodied with a lovely, savory character on the palate. Rather elegant and clear in its fruit expression. The minerals ground the palate, while also driving it forward. Rock-salt salinity. Drink or hold.
