Tasting notes
The 2013 Pinot Noir West Slope Carneros Estate is a real beauty, with a deep ruby color and notes of raspberry, black cherry and blacker currants. The wine is savory, medium to full-bodied, with well-integrated acidity, tannin and no evidence of oak, although I suspect it’s there. The wine hits the palate with a nice gush of fruit, stays fresh and vibrant, and finishes with complete satisfaction. It is an outstanding example of Russian River Pinot Noir to drink over the next decade.
