Tasting notes
A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Cabernet Franc, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet colored. It is a little shy to begin, soon opening out to offer pure notes of cassis, lavender, and crushed rocks leading to hints of dried bay leaves, tapenade, and pencil shavings. The full-bodied palate packs in bright red and black fruit layers with provocative herbs and mineral sparks and a firm, grainy texture, finishing long and refreshing.

The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is soft, open-knit and very pretty. Still very fresh and nuanced, the 2011 is impeccable today. Bright red cherry fruit, cedar, mint, tobacco and earthy notes all grace this understated Cabernet from Dalla Valle. The aromatics are so expressive today. Hints of crushed red berry fruit, mint and spice build into the long, persistent finish.
