Tasting notes
The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Cabernet Franc. Deep brick in color, it features beautiful perfumes of dried roses, black tea, and chocolate box over a core of creme de cassis, plum preserves, and forest floor with a hint of mossy tree bark. The medium-bodied palate is coated with impactful red and black fruit preserves with loads of exotic spice sparks and a grainy texture, finishing with a refreshing lift.

Ruby-red. Ripe aromas of cassis, currant, shoe polish, loam and graphite. Supple, juicy and harmonious, with noteworthy sweetness and inner-mouth florals for the year. Finishes with smooth, ripe tannins and excellent length. This has turned out very well. An extremely impressive '98.
