2015 Kanzler Vineyard Pinot Noir

Tasting notes
From a site that’s just on the edge of the Green Valley region of the Russian River Valley, the 2015 Pinot Noir Kanzler Vineyard (from vines approaching 20 years of age) offers a darker style in its plum, blood orange, crushed herbs, and pepper aromas and flavors. Gorgeous on the palate, with a light, elegant, silky texture, medium to full-bodied richness and integrated acidity, it’s going to evolve gracefully given its balance and purity. This is the finest vintage of this cuvee to date.

A deep, dense wine, the 2015 Pinot Noir Kanzler offers notable intensity in all of its dimensions. It is an especially pliant, supple Pinot that bridges a stylistic gap between the Russian River and true Sonoma Coast appellations. Bright acids, citrus peel and red-toned fruit fill out the wine's frame effortlessly. The 25% whole clusters are very nicely integrated.
