Very broad, generous, well saturated and deep. A full-bodied, velvety, lavishly flavorful yet well-balanced and energized wine. Cocoa, graphite, minerals, baked cherries, black cherries, tobacco leaves and spearmint. Made from the winery site from hillside vineyards, some of them very steep. Drink now or hold.

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Moonracer features relatively modest cherry fruit—it seems a bit lacking in intensity on the nose—but supports the red-berried fruit with pleasant mocha, barrel-derived notes. It's full-bodied and more flavorful on the palate, silky-textured and fluid, but it just doesn't have the richness and textural impact of the 2021. Still, it's a lovely, charming, harmonious effort.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Moonracer is a pretty, open-knit wine that will drink well with minimal cellaring. Crushed flowers, red-toned fruit, mint, cinnamon and orange peel open nicely with a bit of time in the glass. Pretty floral overtones add freshness to this silky, mid-weight Cabernet Sauvignon.
