Score 84-86/100 · Drink 2015-2017, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2014
Courtesy of vines planted 75 years ago, the 2013 Bourgogne Aligoté has an attractive bouquet with beeswax and honeysuckle aromas. The palate is crisp in the mouth with the soft texture of Aligoté and just a tang of bitter lemon on the finish. This will provide early-drinking pleasure once in bottle.

Three old vineyards he plans to replant with Chardonnay. Planted in the 1960s. Correct and mouthfilling. Just a little tough on the end. But a fair introduction to the solid yet lively style. (JR)
