Opulent nose – creamy, sweet spices, then dark fruit and a herbal bitterness. Tight, pert, crunchy – but showing some interesting developed aromas too. (RH)

The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino is heavily weighed down by cardboard and Band-Aid aromas.

Aromas of light raisin and prunes with hints of walnut. A little overdone but I appreciate the leather and fruit character. Drink now.
