Complex aromas of smoked spices, plums and meat follow through to a medium body, firm and chewy tannins and a delicious finish. A typical aged Bordeaux. Drink now.

Tasted at the château, the 2006 Beau Site is clearly fully matured on the nose with kirsch and gravel scents on the nose, perhaps showing a little more volatility since I last tasted this Saint Estèphe in 2007. The palate is medium-bodied with simple red berry fruit, stringy tannin and a simple, slightly tart finish. Drink now.
