Tasting notes
Glass-staining ruby. Potent, smoke- and spice-accented dark berry and cherry aromas are lifted by a subtle mineral nuance. Deeply pitched black and blue fruit flavors show a surprisingly lithe character and pick up sweetness with air. Supple and seamless on a finish that clings with excellent tenacity.

Deep garnet with a hint of purple in the color, the 2009 Black Guts Shiraz reveals aromas of warm black fruits, cassis and crushed blueberries with underlying nuances of Mediterranean herbs, black pepper, tar and salami. Very full bodied with a generous amount of layered warm black fruit and savory flavors, it is well structured with a medium to firm level of finely grained tannins and lively acid, finishing long. Approachable now, it should cellar to 2021+. Importer: CLD Imports, Barrington, IL; tel. (847) 898-9500
