The Brocard website gives little indication of the relationship between the Chablis that was called Domaine Ste-Claire and this one labelled Vignobles Ste-Claire. Edgy, fresh nose with good Chablis cut that really gets the saliva flowing on a ripe – only just not overripe – base. No Chablis lover could be disappointed by this relatively precocious wine. Impressive length of flavour. Even if it will not be the most long-lived Chablis. GV (JR)

The 2018 Chablis Sainte Claire (Organic) offers terrific depth and plenty of texture, along with clean, bracing underpinning that add both freshness and nuance without being overpowering. Lemon oil, tangerine, mango, white flowers, honey and mint are pushed forward in this decidedly bold Chablis. A whole range of more exotic, tropical notes develop with time in the glass. This is certainly intriguing.
Lemon and lime aromas here with crushed stones and chalky notes, too. The palate has a very taut feel with succulent grapefruit and orange flavors. Drink or hold.
