50% Grenache, 50% Syrah. Cask sample. Saddle leather and slight wild-animal notes from the Syrah. Wild and earthy palate, with spice, garrigue, black tea and dark fruits. Powerful and earthy, with grippy, layered and powerful tannins. A big boy! (AC)

Quite discreet aromatically, then punchy tannins come in on the intense attack, really quite leathery and tannic, with high acidity – this will take time. Earthy black cherry, with quite clay-like tannins. Makes a big impression. 100% in foudres.
