2019 Riesling Auslese

Although made from grapes specially selected for their ripeness, the nose of the Apotheke Auslese still reflects its provenance with local rather than exotic fruit. Peach, pear and nectarine exhibit a delightful fragrance and find their fulfilment with oozing juices on the palate. Nit-pickers may bemoan that they can’t taste the slate, but this is a wine to indulge in, not to analyse. Sometimes you just have to let go, and this is the wine to do it with. (MS)
