Score 97/100 · Drink 2034-2070, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Feb 2025
The golden-colored 2019 Grand Cru Schoenenbourg opens with a matured and quite developed nose of ripe, dark apricots and is long, complex and powerful on the palate. Tasted from a second bottle, the same wine opens much more precise and fruity on the deep and refined yet complex nose, revealing perfectly ripe apricot aromas along with vegetal terroir aromas. This is a dense, rich and powerful, very complex and firmly structured Schoenenbourg with an enormously long and complex finish. It is too young to shine today, but the talents are huge. 14% stated alcohol with less than 15 grams per liter of residual sugar. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in April 2024.
