Tasting notes
The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru comes from a 0.58-hectare parcel of vines averaging 50 years old. The bouquet is similar to the Les Chaumes, featuring vibrant red cherries and touches of cassis, here a little more vivid in style, with good definition, though not the ravishing opulence you might find elsewhere. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins on the entry, fine acidity, gentle grip, very pure red fruit and a touch of crushed stone and black pepper toward the finish. Give this a couple of years in bottle.
