Score 90/100 · Drink 2001-2016, Robert Parker, Oct 2001
The 1998 Barolo is a full-bodied, fleshy effort revealing tell-tale notes of licorice, rose petals, melted asphalt, and dried red and black fruits. It is sweet and opulently-textured with surprising harmony for such a young Barolo. Both the tannin and acidity are well-integrated in this fleshy, up-front offering. Consume it during its first 10-15 years of life. A Leonardo Locascio Selection, Winebow, Hohokus, NJ; tel. (201) 445-0620
