Score 89/100 · Drink 2003-2009, Pierre Rovani, Apr 2003
The 2000 Volnay Vendanges Selectionees is a bigger, bolder, more complex, and longer version of the regular Volnay cuvee. Medium-bodied, awash in black cherries, spices, and minerals, it will make for wonderful drinking over the next 6 years. A Becky Wasserman Selection / Le Serbet; French Fax: 011-33-3-80-24-29-70, various American importers.

Full red. High-pitched aromas of cherry, licorice and leather. Offers good sweetness and more texture than the basic village Volnay. Finishes with riper fruit and a bit more backbone. Generous and showing well.
