This is usually a well-made, relatively extracted, masculine style of St.-Emilion, but the 2013 is quite light, has aggressive, tart acids and lacks concentration and charm.

The 2013 Grand Corbin Despagne is intriguing. Deceptively medium in body, the 2013 possesses lovely depth and persistence. Savory herbs game and dried flowers add complexity to the pungent finish. Although a bit heavy and wild in style, the 2013 is not at all lacking in complexity nor personality. It should be an intriguing wine to follow over the next decade-plus.
