Score 88/100 · Drink 2022-2033, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Oct 2022
Matured in entirely new oak, the 2019 Clos des Quatre Vents delivers aromas of sweet berries, loamy soil and creamy wood, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively and supple palate that concludes with a vanillin-inflected finish. From old vines by Labégorce, its potential might be even greater with a lighter touch in the cellar.

The 2019 Clos des Quatre Vents, owned by Luc Thienpont, is opulent and luxuriant on the nose with mulberry, clove and crushed violets bursting from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, velvety smooth in texture with a tang of blood orange towards the harmonious finish. Very sensual.
