Deep violet color. Aromas of ripe dark fruits, licorice and building vanilla and baking spice nuances. Broad and weighty on the palate, offering lush, spice-tinged cherry and blackberry flavors that take on a smoky note with aeration. A floral note emerges on the finish, which features subtle tannins and lingering dark fruit preserve and mocha qualities.

The classic 2018 Côte Rôtie Les Bécasses comes from a mix of schists and gneiss soils and was brought up in 25% new French oak. It has wonderful notes of black raspberries, spiced meats, flowery incense, and sandalwood. Beautifully balanced, medium-bodied, and incredibly elegant, it's not a blockbuster but has quintessential Côte Rôtie elegance and complexity. It's ideal for drinking over the coming decade.
Lively aromas of ripe red and blue fruits, exotic spices and potpourri pick up a subtle mineral nuance with air. Juicy and energetic in style, displaying sweet black raspberry, cherry and salty olive flavors complemented by hints of black pepper and candied violet. The floral and spice notes carry through a long, penetrating finish that features harmonious tannins and a touch of bitter chocolate.
