Tasting notes
The 2017 Santenay Clos de Malte has a brisk dark cherry and bergamot bouquet. The palate is simple but balanced ,with crunchy red fruit, although I find just a little dilution toward the finish here. Drink within three or four years of bottling.

A fresh and bright red with sliced oranges and dried strawberries, fine tannins and a savory finish. Drink now.
The 2017 Santenay Clos de Malte (Domaine Gagey) displays aromas of sweet red berries, citrus rind and spices, followed by a medium-bodied, ample and velvety palate that's pure, succulent and nicely delineated.
Cask sample. Very seductive already. Lovely fresh fruit in a well-composed frame of fine tannin and fresh acidity. Very winning. GV ? (JR)
