Score 90/100 · Drink 2016-2024, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Sep 2015
The 2012 Mormoreto is dark, juicy and radiant. Lavender, rose petal and spices wrap around a core of super-ripe stone fruits. Plump and super-expressive in the glass, the 2012 is very nicely done. The exotic, international style seems a bit out of place for Rùfina, and there is not much in the way of true varietal signatures, yet the wine is very well done just the same.
