The 2008 Pinot Nero Riserva emerges from the glass with sweet red cherries, incense, smoke, worn-in leather and tobacco. As beautiful as the 2008 Riserva is, there is an element of fragility that suggests the wine is best enjoyed sooner rather than later. A sweet, ethereal finish laced with incense, sweet berries and spices is supported by clean veins of minerality.
