I also loved the 2020 Cairanne Les Douyes, a bigger, richer wine that offers more mouth-filling red and black fruits as well as violets, ground pepper, and orange blossom. The Reserve is slightly more elegant, yet this brings more fruit and texture.

60% Mourvèdre, 40% Grenache from 100-year-old vines. Cask sample. Youthful and fruit-led on the nose. Ripe strawberry fruit and chewy tannins. Primary and a slight drying note on the mid palate, needs some time but has good concentration of dark fruits. (AC)
