Tasting notes
Limpid, pale ruby-garnet. Ripe, with a slight roasted tone. Red cherry and some medicinal lift. Supple, nearly silky tannins, with lots of spicy weight. Fair acidity and good length. (TJ)

Bright red with ruby tones. Superripe yet fresh aromas of dark cherry, strawberry jam and dark chocolate. Fat, plush and very concentrated; very ripe and chocolatey in the mid-palate but not a sweet style. With with its huge, dusty tannins and saline minerality, this very dense, long Volnay will need time in the cellar to find its ultimate harmony.
