Tasting notes
The 2017 Murmure de Larcis Ducasse is a gorgeous and inviting second wine. Bright floral notes and silky, red-toned fruit grace this racy, mid-weight Saint-Émilion. Fresh, vibrant and full of energy, the Murmure is terrific in 2017. I especially admire the wine's vibrancy and persistence. This is an under-the-radar gem of the vintage.

The second wine of Larcis Ducasse, the 2017 Murmure de Larcis Ducasse is 98% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc that spent 14-16 months in once-used 500-liter barrels. It has a medium ruby hue as well as attractive notes of blackcurrants, leafy herbs, spice, and hints of loamy earth. Medium to light-bodied, it's elegant, silky, and as gulpable as it gets.
Very attractive violets here, as well as blueberries and a lightly stony, graphite-like edge. There’s good definition to the palate with cocoa-powder flavors and ripe dark plums. Smoothly compressed tannins hold long. Second wine of Château Larcis Ducasse. Drink or hold.
