Serralunga d’Alba – Lazzarito. Palish ruby with orange tinges. Leafy, sweet-cherry fruit on the nose that becomes more concentrated with aeration. Lush cherry fruit with long gravelly tannins. Attractive, long and ready now. (WS)

Brick red in color, the 2020 Barolo V. Lazzairasco is spicy and perfumed with notes of eucalyptus, mossy earth, grenadine, cherries, dried rose, and anise. Medium-bodied, it has a nice purity of concentration on the palate, with ripe tannins, a velvety texture, and a clean, balanced finish that has good length. It’s another impressive wine from Porro with some potential for aging over the next 12-15 years.
